Past and Present Tense - The Gubaidulina has to be listened to a few times to experience its real power, but it grabbed me from the beginning. Its a very modern peice but at the same time classical in feel. The Bach takes no getting used to and its refreshing to hear a soloist not trying to be too authentic in her style. That being siad the overall performance is light and brisk. Mutter just gets better and better in my view. I also have to comment on the outstanding quality of the recording- if I were a geek I d buy it just for that.
